Internationally-renowned light sources adopt FalconX digital pulse processing
Following the first installation of XIA’s FalconX digital pulse processor Powered By SITORO® Accelerated Analysis at the Australian Synchrotron, a number of leading international synchrotrons have also adopted FalconX for digital signal processing. These include:
- Cornell High Energy Synchrotron Source (CHESS) in New York, USA
- Canadian Light Source (CLS) at Saskatoon, Canada
- Synchrotron Soleil at Saint-Aubin, France
- European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) at Grenoble, France
- National Synchrotron Light Source (NSLS) in New York, USA
- Swiss Light Source (SLS) at the Paul Scherrer Institut in Aargau, Switzerland
The adoption of XIA’s FalconX for advanced digital signal processing at these world-class facilities reaffirms the status of SITORO Accelerated Analysis as the gold standard for analytical radiation detection and measurement. Southern Innovation’s partnership with XIA has enabled optimisation of SITORO Accelerated Analysis/i> technology for synchrotron applications.
Synchrotron beamlines are expensive to run and beamtime is in high demand. FalconX Powered By SITORO Accelerated Analysis will dramatically cut analysis time, allowing more experiments to be performed and increasing the cost-effectiveness of the beamlines upon which the XIA FalconX instrument is installed.
