Southern Innovation named Rising Star

Melbourne based company, Southern Innovation, has been named a Rising Star in the 2007 Deloitte Technology Fast 50 awards.

The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 ranks the 50 fastest growing technology companies, public or private, based on percentage revenue growth over three years (2005 to 2007) and includes all related industry sectors: Communications; Software; Semiconductors, Components and Electronics; Life Sciences; Internet; and Computer Peripherals.

The program has a special Rising Star category to recognise emerging private companies that may not meet all the eligibility criteria, but have made a significant contribution to the technology sector. Rising Star entrants are judged on the company’s core focus, market, business model, management team, access to funds and technical sustainability.

Deloitte Technology, Media and Telecommunications partner Julia Bickerstaff said Rising Star award winners such as Southern Innovation are recognised for being on the path to becoming the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 winners of tomorrow.

“With careful management of their growth cycle Southern Innovation could soon be ranked one of Australia’s fastest growing technology companies, I expect the market to closely watch Southern Innovation closely over the next couple of years.” Ms Bickerstaff says.
