The 25 finalists will be showcased in a high-profile six-week exhibition at the Melbourne Museum from 30 May to 12 July 2009. In 2008, over 76,000 people visited the free exhibition, and many also voted in the popular People’s Choice award. The Next Big Thing Award winner will be announced on 2 July.

The iAwards celebrate innovation in information and communication technology. Run by the Australian Information Industry Association, the awards recognise excellence in 16 categories. SITORO is the Victorian winner in the IBM Research & Development category, and is in the running for the national award, to be announced at a gala dinner on 27 May. National winners go on to represent Australia in Asia-Pacific innovation awards.
