Southern Innovation Appoints Experienced Executive

Southern Innovation is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Francis Linnane as Chief Operating Officer.

Dr Linnane brings a wealth of new-product-development (NPD) experience to the role, along with a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Nottingham and an MBA from Melbourne Business School.

‘Francis has high-level skills and extensive experience developing and launching a wide range of products across a number of industries,’ says CEO and Managing Director of Southern Innovation David Scoullar. ‘We targeted Francis for his experience launching novel products which leverage advanced technologies in global markets. In the near term his skills will be invaluable as we commercialise GradeScan™ and other novel products in the resources sector across the next 12-18 months. Over time Francis will help drive the commercialisation of our award-winning SITORO® technology through a wide variety of products and industries.’

With a career spanning strategy, process management, financial analysis, marketing and people management, Dr Linnane’s most recent role was in product development and the marketing of innovative solutions to the mining and mineral-processing sector with XRF Scientific.

Highly respected in his field, Dr Linnane is a professional and technical leader, a strategic and analytical thinker and a highly effective communicator. Southern Innovation is thrilled to have Dr Linnane join the executive team to draw on his considerable skills in the company’s next phase of development.
